nothing too much trouble, we loved this accommodation and would recommend. location: the hotel was close to lovely restaurants, irish parliament and grafton street the national gallery and the luas. we found nice kilkenny cafe and restaurant nearby with hot beverages. they provided a fresh breakfast with juices and a modest amount more, as example.

It is a very attractive building and definitely has a lot of old world charm. Our checking in was done by a very friendly female staff member and Paddy, the concierge was a gentleman, minding bags for us while we continued to shop.
Subsequent staff members there were not as friendly a face on the front desk. The breakfast was extremely disappointing. The member of staff who served us was not to a standard I would have expected. She sighed audibly when I asked for the cooked breakfast without some of the items. . . but proceeded to bring these on the plate anyway. The food was poorly presented I felt and neither of us finished it. Also when other guests arrived in the dining room she gave them directions regarding what was the protocol in the room. When they seemed unsure, she asked them loudly 'did they understand?' It was all a bit Fawlty Towers. The noise in the bedroom from the fans from the kitchen, I think, were unbearable. While they were tuned off in the evening they began again very early in the morning.

It was such good value for such a lovely hotel! The staff were amazing. Patrick the duty manager was brilliant and really helpful when we couldnt figure the window out! Miles in the bar and restaurant was just the nicest barman - answered all our questions, recommended which dish to pick (he was right the burger was amazing), just all round friendly guy. The room was spotless and comfy.
I can't fault it for anything except having to pay for the parking!

Hotel is close to grafton street and trinity college so good location to start exploring Dublin. Hotel itself was ok. Service was fine. Lobby area nice to relax for a bit. Breakfast was good although you can also go outside and grab some breakfast and maybe save some money. We got a room at the back so no traffic noise. Temperature in the room was a bit to high unfortunately. Bathroom was refurbished. All in all not best hotel I have stayed in, but not the worst either.
Room too warm. Decoration outdated.

Location
I had to ask for an upgrade as the noise and vibration from the kitchen fan was unbelievable. However, the staff were very friendly and upgraded my room immediately.
